Store Manager - Athens

Responsible for maximizing store revenue by providing superior service and leading top-notch retail store. Ensure that customer expectations are exceeded and that customers are pleasantly surprised by everything they see, hear, and experience at Empire South. Reports directly to Retail Operations Manager and Owners.

Responsibilities:

  • In-Store Responsibilities
    • Work sales floor (provide customers with superior service)
    • Ensure retail stores embody the “perfect store” (well merchandised, stocked, superior customer service, etc.)
    • Accurately manage cash registry
    • Provide sales reports to leadership
    • Scheduling associates for store hours and other needed duties
    • Inventory and ordering
    • Process new arrivals
    • Order office and cleaning supplies
    • Hiring/Training
    • Associate management & engagement
    • Marketing
    • Plan local events to engage community and drive sales
    • Any other duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a retail sales associate, sales representative or similar role
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to receive criticism in a productive manner
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Professional and courteous customer service skills
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure and within deadlines

Web Intern

Overview:

Responsible for assisting Web Specialist in website and fulfillment process for empiresouthclothing.com. Work alongside buyers and store managers to assure the proper online merchandise assortment. Create visually appealing photos and online displays to drive sales.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that website is up to date with all current merchandise
  • Ensure that online orders are packed, shipped, and delivered, while communicating with customers throughout the entire process
  • Assist weekly photoshoots: scheduling, setup, and breakdown
  • Assist in coordination of receiving shipments of items to be placed online
  • Participate in buying discussions and online planning sessions
  • Partner with cross functional teams to understand all channels of business to ensure Empire South has a consistent brand presence through the stores and online presence
  • Communicate with store and warehouse employees to maintain accurate inventory counts and product availability
  • Assist with pricing and markdowns
  • Partner with Store Manager and Buying Team to forecast inventory and personnel needs
  • Work with team to ensure the warehouse and offices are clean, neat, and professional
  • If needed, fill in at retail stores as Sales Associate
  • Complete any other tasks and requirements as needed

Retail Associate

Responsible for maximizing store revenue by providing superior service and maintaining top-notch retail stores. Ensure that customer expectations are exceeded and that customers are pleasantly surprised by everything they see, hear, and experience at Empire South.

Responsibilities:

  • Exceed customer expectations
  • Welcome customers by greeting them and offering assistance
  • Actively seek out customers in store
  • Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  • Style merchandise according to branding guidelines
  • Maintain inventory levels on sales floor and in back-stock
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Build productive trust relationships with customers
  • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
  • Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits
  • Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations
  • Learn systems and procedures to enhance selling efficiencies and complete support duties
  • Assist in hanging, tagging, steaming, and merchandising inventory
  • Clean shelves, counters, and tables
